Restart

It’s been a while since I last wrote my fitness blog.  2 years actually... Life gets in the way, and we lose focus and balance. 


It isn’t easy to restart what you were doing when you’ve taken a long break, and you feel like you lost your ability to write professionally. 


To restart, you’ll have to take baby steps, slow and steady, otherwise trying to achieve too much, too soon can have a detrimental effect.  Not easy when your writing has become rusty too... 


We all plan differently; we all work differently.  What we need to find out is what works best for us, as that is what we’re most likely to adhere to. 


For me, I need to make time for myself, to sit down and put my ideas down on paper or in a written form.  I struggled to balance my workload and my me time and writing time, which is why I neglected writing my blogs, I was overworked and stressed. 


I have now created a timetable for myself, and it includes slots where I focus on my blog, I focus on my own training, I focus on my clients and select the best workouts for them.  Whether I have a lot of ideas or none, I dedicate the time for my blogs and other activities and stick to my timetable.  I have already selected many topics for my upcoming blogs that I would like to cover!   


I have also set deadlines, very realistic ones too, on when I would like my blogs to be completed and published by. 


Keep your eyes open for the next one!  It will be out soon! 


I feel so much better now, more focused, more energetic and, I have more time to myself and doing what I enjoy the most, helping people whether via in person training or via online.  My aim is to help as many people as I can.  I could only restart by planning, setting realistic goals, decluttering from what was holding me back in order, to move forward and take the next step. 


My vision was blurred for a while and now I can see my goals clearly once again.  Sometimes we need a break, and we need to take it, to heal, to reflect, to set our boundaries, and figure out which step will be best for us next. 


I am glad I took a break from my blogs, from writing, it helped me focus and be better equipped for my blogs and restructure my business model.
